7 days, from June 24th to July 11th: general French (3h per day) + French for fashion (1.5h per day)

Improve your French skills, enrich your cultural knowledge and learn specific fashion, stylization and modelling vocabulary to facilitate communication in the world of fashion.

General French lessons to develop the four key language skills (speaking, reading,listening and writing)

Specific French for fashion modules: fashion history and trends - Paris, capital of fashion - textiles, materials, shapes and colours - clothes and accessories - techniques, stitches, tools

Teachers: French mother-tongue, qualified university graduates

Small groups :
- 8 to10 participants maximum at France Langue-Institut parisien, Paris Opéra
- 10 to 12 participants maximum at France Langue, Paris Victor Hugo

Minimum B1 level in French

Summer course: from creating to managing - Mod’Art

8 days, from July 2nd to 11th: theoretical training, practical workshops and visits in Paris (50h)

Discover the profession of designer and pattern maker while creating and going through the different steps of making a mini-collection of garments, and get an introduction to careers and management positions in the luxury fashion industry.

Classes conducted by professionals from the fashion and luxury world, stylists (clothes and textiles) and pattern makers

Theoretical lessons and practical workshops alongside French students:
• Paris, capital of fashion and luxury
• Discovering the latest trends and implementing your own inspiration to create a collection
• Fashion products, brands, luxury groups
• Fashion and media: catwalks and their importance, careers in fashion and luxury
• Presenting a collection book
• Textile workshop: creating and choosing materials and fabrics
• Pattern making workshop


Visits in Paris to complete the professional instruction: luxury district, young designers area, museum or temporary exhibitions, designer workshops or manufacturers...
