What to see and what to do

In Moscow, it is necessary to see the Kremlin, the Lénine library, the museum of the Pouchkine Fine arts, the history museum, the Trétiakov gallery, the Saint-Nicholas- church of Tisserands, the many theaters and cinemas, the studios of Mosfilm, the subway (particularly luxurious), and finally to admire the Bolchoï ballet. Saint-Petersbourg is the fatherland of the writer Fedor Dostoïescki and Nina Berberova.  The quays and the bridges of Neva and the Saint-Isaac cathedral are to be seen, as well as the museum of the Hermitage, the Winter palace (it was the old residence of the tsars) and the Russian Museums; which shelter works of art which are worth the trip alone. Hundreds of Orthodox churches strew the city. The "Gold circle" gathers old Russian city-museums: Iaroslav, Ivanovo, Souzdal, Vladimir and Novgorod. The Caucasus opens an area which always has many tourist centers like Téberda, Dombai and Elbrous. Close to the Baïkal lake, in Siberia, Irkoutsk marks a stop; the lake is very deep and the water is very clear. Petrozadvodsk, in the Garélie area, is especially famous for the beauty of the Onega lake.

 Handicraft

Russian vodka is an alcohol of great quality which accompanies almost all meals. In Russian art, the icons compete with their beauty with the famous nests of dolls with sharp colors. The samovars, the fabrics and the chawl, the balalaïkas, the traditional costumes, in particular the shirts crossed on the side, evoke all the charm of the Russian tradition. The novels of the famous Russian writers like Stravinksi, Prokofiev, Tchaïkovski and Chostakovitch are always very appreciated, as well as the novels of great writers like Dostoïevsky, Pouchkine, Tolstoï etc...
