Our greeting families are recruited with great care. The criteria of selection are very rigorous and each family must satisfy a precise schedule of conditions: excellent morality, desire to communicate with their host, satisfactory social standing. We should specify that the families will only speak with you the language of the country where you will be. It is the principle of the immersion courses !

Town information's

OaxacaThe state of OAXACA is rural and mountainous. Its villages of altitude shelter the descendants of the zapothèques and Mixtèques and 1/5 of the population speaks only the Indian language. In spite of mining resources like oil, the coal, the money, the copper and of the agricultural resources like the culture of the coffee, it is one of the poorest states of the country.
Capital of the homonymous state on the plate to 1460 m of altitude, encircled by the nodes of the south of the Madre sierra. Sunday the Indians flow to the market of the colonial city to sell worked leathers, embroidered blouses and wool ponchos. This city remained typically provincial, with the colonial charm, located at the heart of the one of the most beautiful regions of Mexico. Sat with the terrace of a coffee or well in the pleasant garden which brightens it, you will take a walkabout among the townsmen, the peasants, the merchants of sarapes and rebozos (châles) and the street pedlars who will praise you the merits of the indigenous pharmacopeia. Not far from Zocalo, is the church of Santo Domingo, jewel baroque, whose Dominican convent was transformed into museum. Moreover surroundings are rich in archeological sites of civilizations Zapotèques and Mixtèques.
