City information Cancun is a 22 km (length) L-shaped by approximately 500 m island. It is connected to the mainland by bridges. It has a hot and sunny climate, beautiful beaches and its clear water makes it a very attractive seaside resort A sea with turquoises water and of a crystal transparency is inviting for deep-sea diving and fishing. An omnipresent sun. A harmonious mixture of old and modern makes it, in fact a mysterious place to discover. Yucatan, old center of Maya civilization having reached a high degree of civilization offers innumerable archaeological treasures. The most interesting sites are a few hours away. Tulum 48 km to the south of Cancun was an imposing Maya port and a religious center. Coba, 38 km from Tulum, occupies a vast space of 130 km2: formerly a great shopping center was densely populated.
