The school (18 classes) is in the heart of the city, 10 minutes from Piazza del Campo. The building dates from the 17th century and was restored. Our greeting families are recruited with great care. The criteria of selection are very rigorous and each family must satisfy a precise schedule of conditions: excellent morality, desire to communicate with their host, satisfactory social standing. We should specify that the families will only speak with you the language of the country where you will be. It is the principle of the immersion courses! |

Cultural seminars:
They are composed by 4 hours per week (twice a week 2 hrs. per afternoon) in mini-group (from 1 to 6 students)
The aim of the seminars is to broaden the students knowledge and appreciation of Siena and its beauty through classroom instruction, visits to museums and places of particular interest.
More exactly: students meet our Teacher for 30 minutes at school, then they reach together the places for lesson on site.
Wine tastings:
students reach the winery together with one of our Teachers, then they taste wines and typical tuscan food, such as cheese, ham, salami etc.
Participants can also buy some specialties.
Wine tastings start usually at 5,00pm and lasts a couple of hours.
Wineries are located in Siena centre, close to Piazza del Campo.
Excursions:
During the week-end there is a daily excursions choosen bewteen: Chianti area; Montalcino and Brunello vineyards; Pienza and Montepulciano; Florence; San Gimignano; Certaldo.
Excursions are organized by bus or by train, depending on the location.
Groups are always guided by one of our specialized Teachers.

City information Superb medieval city of Tuscany, on the red clay hills of Chianti, to 50 km to the south of Florence, it gave its name to the sienna, brown orchid dye used in painting. independent Republic from the XII to the XVI century this city of merchants and bankers was illustrated by a brilliant civilization which did of it one of the capitals of the Gothic art in Europe. The XII and XIV centuries developed an artistic school in with it (school of sienna). The medieval heritage of the city (university founded into 1247) appears at the time of the popular festivals as that which is held downtown on Piazza del Campo, between teams in XV century old costumes representing the " contrade " (parishes) of the city. Piazza del Campo, in the shape of a Saint-Jacob shell, is one of the most beautiful medieval places in Europe. She is bordered by old houses of which Palazzo Pubblico which surmounts Torre del Mangia, touring 102m. The palace, the town hall and the municipal museum have all beautiful collections of local art.
