ECUADOR : Cuenca 

The school occupies 4 floors of a colonial building in the center of Cuenca. You will find cafeteria, yard inside there. The businesses and shops are very close. The school will offer you 16 classes, computers, library.

Tuition Programs

• 1 lesson: 55 minutes
• Minimum age: 17
• Schedule from 8:00 AM to 12:30 PM and from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM flexible depending on the program chosen.
• All levels available

• 20 lessons Intensives: In addition to the course, south American dance lessons (2 times per week) + initiation to Andes music and to Ecuadorian cuisine. 
  Durind week end, 1 day excursion included: National Parc of Cajas, Incas ruins of Ingapirca, Giron falls or Gualaceo market. 
• Co-Op program: 4 weeks minimum. On first week, 20 private lessons. Following weeks, 10 private lessons and 20 to 30 hours of voluntary job in a community (children, older people, orphanage, hospital, ecology, schools).  
• Cafeteria
• Airport transfer to the family at arrival.
• Test and certificate of attendance

Attention: during your stay, you'll have the possibility to organize and choose, according with your teacher, the schedule and daily program.

Our greeting families are recruited with great care. The criteria of selection are very rigorous and each family must satisfy a precise schedule of conditions: excellent morality, desire to communicate with their host, satisfactory social standing. We should specify that the families will only speak with you the language of the country where you will be. It is the principle of the immersion courses!

City information

Located in a valley of the Andes in the south of Ecuador, Cuenca is a town of 300.000 inhabitants and the third largest city of the country. Cuenca has spring temperatures all year. Close villages like Chordeleg, Gualaceo and Bullcay are universally recognized for their folk art. Close parks like El Cajas, a tropical and wild forest and the fortresses of Inga Pirca offer excellent opportunities for the camp-site, climbing in the mountain and the discovery of the Andes. Ecuador is a country with cultural and geographical spectacular contrasts. One finds there superb beaches, snow at the top of the volcanoes of the Andes and the luxury of the tropical rains of the Amazon.
